Aporia 03:00
you almost had it all, but you lost all three stepping out of line, your choreography the snow it covered up the road you couldn't see a story ends, and so do friends that shouldn't be your hands are red, your face is too the sky came falling down, with the moon and you never come back home you thought you knew a lot about philosophy the back of your own hand, just now discovering a veil is pulled from off the face its covering a ghost you know is haunting where it shouldn't be your hands are red, your face is too the sky came falling down, with the moon and you never come back home
2.
you cashed out, you caved in there's nothing left you're leaving the monsters you notice they're coming back for you do you believe in ghosts? cause I swear to god I do, and my brother he does too you're dragging, your last smoke but it don't hide the gravestone, the flowers the two-hour drive do you believe in ghost? cause I swear to god I do, and my brother he does too we're all just passing through x3 do you believe in ghosts? cause I swear to god I do, and my brother he does too
3.
load up the car were driving downstate my brothers sleeping and I can't wait to come on home again we're singing songs about the midwest they're rattling my bones and ringing out out inside my chest I've been spending all my time away up here in the heart of, our state I like it by the lakes
4.
Tired Wolves 03:25
I'm through living with the wolves who never taught me how to prey but I'll keep looking to the clouds for the rest of my days oh my trigger fingers broken and I've been doing what I'm told like a soldier in the war on his first day home truth is I"m, just an old dirt road in the corner of your mind oh to hell with Sunday morning we've all got scars we'd like to hide and if I never make it home I'd like at least to say I tried truth is I'm, just an old dirt road in the corner of your mind
5.
Maine 03:33
I'm glad to see you holding up so well cause i have seen the other side a family dies going through hell another year goes by the seasons change and all your friends they stayed inside the weather man's been calling for rain we'll grow old and move out to Maine we've got a little place, we'd like to stay l'd like to say I prayed every morning til my body starts to fade its colder than it looks out side you say but I have got the coldest blood coursing through my even colder veins our spot on the map begins to fade but no one's gonna notice when we're dragging on in bad bad faith we'll grow old and move out to Maine we've got a little place, we'd like to stay l'd like to say I prayed every morning til my body starts to fade
6.
I saw a lonely ghost searching for, solace in the stone maybe I'll say a prayer but first I need, I need to run on home I saw a millionaire piss it all away before he croaked You're turning leaves around hoping that you'll never be alone Did you find Jesus there standing in, in the field of bones maybe, before you leave you can make yourself, believe in god
7.
We Were Made 03:14
underneath our skin, there's nothing more than broken hearts and bones a fool would let you in, to wreck it all and make yourself at home I sleep all day, stay quiet at night there's a ghost who's face looks just like mine and it stays up til the morning underneath our skin, there's nothing more than stomachs growing sick for the homes that they have missed it's been three years and you still clench your fist I sleep all day, stay quiet at night there's a ghost who's face looks just like mine and it stays up til the morning we were made from falling trees and the dirt from off your feet we were made a twisted spine just hanging on a line we were made a loaded gun and a pocket full of change we were made from quiet hearts left out in the rain
8.
hey all you wallflowers I saw you standing in the dark if not a blessing for the morning then we'll all rot out in the yard this is where, this is where, we build our houses we sleep on couches hey all you lonely little souls I bet you feel it in your bones when grace is knocking on your door but she don't come here anymore this is where, this is where, we build our houses we sleep on couches everybody's leaving and you've got no place to go x3
9.
Bless You 05:32
I'm cursing at the clouds when I hear your name cobweb heart but I know you're not to blame I've got a homesick stomach but I like the blues you're running on home, but I know that you do too we're turning our backs to the rising sun and watching your sister falling out of love the sweat on my hands is the sweat on yours we don't need god when we've got a country song and it's on well who, did I think I was who, did I think I was.... I can't wrap my mind around the faith you found and how I settle slow the banjo's strumming from the stereo tells a story that I've never known and I'm alone well who, did I think I was who, did I think I was... we'll grow, and run x2 when you get home and your hair's undone and you go to sleep may god bless you

about

These songs were written and recorded from 2011-2012 between my homes in Mt. Pleasant and Brighton, MI. This was largely an individual project, but without the support of my family and friends this album would not have happened. Anyone that lent/gave me an instrument, came to a show, or listened to a tune, I really, really appreciate you. Thank you for listening...
